Work Location: Bethany and Cameron, Missouri
Hours: 40 hours per week
Job Purpose: Responsible for the growth, quality, and credit administration of a commercial and/or ag loan portfolio.
Specific Job Functions, such as:
- Responsible for the monitoring of a loan portfolio that includes quality, performance, and the ongoing credit administration of loans within that portfolio.
- Responsible for initial collection efforts on assigned portfolio loans.
- Analyze the credit history of applicants and determine their loan repayment capabilities.
- Negotiate credit terms, such as costs, loan repayment methods and collateral specifications.
- Make recommendations for loan rates and approvals.
- Develop and maintain interest rate structure to be consistent with financial institution policies and procedures, and to be competitive with current market rates.
- Evaluate potential customer loan requests and make loan recommendations to management.
- Review new laws and regulations that influence business lending within the financial institution and make recommendations to management when necessary.
- Provide assistance to and recommend training for new commercial loan officers.
- Develop new customer prospects and business for the financial institution.
- Actively participate in an ongoing business development program by calling on prospective and existing clients to nurture ongoing relationships for lending and/or deposit services.
- Represent the bank in various community- and industry-related activities.
- Keep abreast of regulatory compliance and developments in the assigned area.
- Serves as a member of the Loan Committee
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field.
- Minimum two years, preferably five, of experience in a financial institution as a commercial and/or ag lender, underwriter or in credit administration.
- Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Strong financial analytical and underwriting skills.
- Extensive knowledge of financial institution policies and procedures.
- Extensive knowledge of lending services and related areas.
- Good managerial, communication, and sales skills.
